Please join us for our annual Pack 6 holiday party 
Thursday, December 14
7:00pm – 8:30pm

Our new scouts will receive their Bobcat rank, we will have a friends of scouting presentation, and we will have snacks, desserts and drinks for everyone.  The food for the party is pot luck, so please note the following food requests keeping in mind we will have about 50 scouts and another 80-90 adults/siblings:

First Grade Families: 

Den 5 - Please bring desserts such as cookies, brownies and pastries

Den 6 - Please bring fruits or veggies

Second Grade Families: Please bring drinks such as juice, water and milk.

Third Grade Families: Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to setup chairs and retrieve plates, cups and napkins from the zombies.

Fourth/Fifth Grade Families: Please bring snacks, chips etc. 

Please label ingredients, paying special attention to allergens such as nuts and gluten.



Pack Hike, The Frelinghuysen Arboretum

Pack hike on Sunday November 19th at 2pm at The Frelinghuysen Arboretum
353 East Hanover Ave, Morris Township, NJ 07960.


Join us for a hike/walk through the Arboretum.  Each scout should wear their class B uniform - the blue pack six T-shirt.  Bring a light backpack for this day hike including basics such as water, sun screen, compass, flash light, trail mix, poncho and a whistle.

All Scouts Pack Meeting: Troop 28 to Teach First Aid Skills

Please join us for a first aid skills demonstration in which the boys will learn to treat various injuries and respond to accident scenarios put on by Boy Scouts from Troop 28.

Also on the agenda: advancement and distribution of the pinewood derby cars.

Popcorn Kickoff Meeting (Sept 14) and King's Sale (Sept 17)

It is time for our annual popcorn sale.  Please note the following events:

1/ Meeting:  Please join us for the first pack meeting of the year which will include Pack 6's Popcorn Kickoff event. We're looking forward to a great popcorn sale!  We will introduce the popcorn sale (both the store sale at King's and house-to-house sale) to all scouts entering grades 1 through 5, how to be a good salesman, how to do so safely, and the prizes that each scout can earn.

Fourth of July Parade, Saturday, July 4 at 10am

Fourth of July Parade, Saturday, July 4 at 10am

Where: Meet at Corner of Hillside and Red Road at 10am

Please join us for Chatham's annual Fourth of July Parade.  Pack 6 will be marching with the other Cub Scout and Boy Scout units in Chatham. 

Please note the following important details:
Meet at 10am at the corner of Hillside and Red Road (parade starts at 10:30am).  If you don't live walking distance you may wish to park at St Pat's and walk.

All scouts should be in uniform (blue t-shirt for new rising first graders and new scouts in other grades, Class A blue or khaki button down shirt for all other scouts).  We will have extra blue t-shirts for new scouts that do not have theirs yet. Please respond to this email with your size if you need one and I will bring it.

Please make sure your scout has sun screen and a water bottle.

Parents and siblings may march with their scout, especially if this is their first time.  :)

As soon as the parade is over, pick up for scouts is at the oval in front of the Middle School.

Please call our Cubmaster, Chris Harwell 1-917-675-1307 if you need to reach him that day.  We hope you can join us.  This is a fun day for the scouts and adult partners.

Cub Scout Dues 2017-2018

The following are the 2018 dues amounts for our Cub Scouts:

First, Second, Third, and Fourth Graders = $110
Fifth Grade/Webelos II Scouts = $55

Sibling scouts = $55

We want every interested boy to be able to experience Cub Scouts. Scholarships are available if you are unable to pay dues.  Please email packsix@gmail.com for more information.

Pack Meeting: Rizzo Reptile Show and New Scout Recruiting Parents Meeting

  • When: Thursday June 1st 7pm
  • Where: Washington Avenue School
  • What: This is a cub scout pack recruiting meeting for rising 1st-5th grade boys. Current scouts should wear their uniforms and bring an interested friend or sibling.


Boys will be in the multi-purpose room with special guest Rizzo's Reptiles.

Parent information meeting in the library.

Note this event is being held at Washington Avenue School (most meetings are at St Pats).

Family Camping Trip: April 28th-30th, 2017

We are in the Delaware Unit Campsite which has flush toilets, sinks/running water, and a covered dining area.

When: Camp Activities begin at 9am Saturday and run through 5pm, Sunday is 9:15-11:30.  (you can also camp out on Friday night too.  If you do, bring your Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch). 

Activities Include: Archery, BB Gun, Rifle Range, Boating, Climbing Wall, Tie dye, Candle Making, Fire By Friction, Fishing, Hike the Appalachian Trail, Swamp Walk, Survival and Trading Post.

The pack will provide a Saturday afternoon snack, Dinner and Sunday breakfast.  Please bring a bag lunch for Saturday. Please also bring a cup and utensils.  

If you don't have a medical from on file with the pack (less than 1 year old) you will need to fill out parts A and B at http://www.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_AB.pdf
